Yellowstone is a solidly written drama – great characters, well fleshed out – that takes its tone from several different modern masterpieces. It has the atmosphere and cinematography of Longmire, the plot and dark perspective of The Sopranos and the dramatic dynamics of series like 'Dynasty' or any other similar TV drama. Costner and Cole Hauser have to be given a lot of credit – these guys pull it off 100%. I didn’t expect to be drawn into this show the way I was. It’s worth your time.
