In “The Day of the Jackal” (1973), the Jackal also drives a white Alfa Romeo, albeit an earlier model. It would have been an outstanding cat-and-mouse chase if the female lead had been someone else, literally someone else. The way she portrays the detective makes the viewer, at least this time, not want to root for her.
I don’t like her, and I won’t care about her
She gives the impression of an insidious, cold, omniscient, selfish woman. Yes, she works in the police, and what she does is right, but how she does it is terrible! Because of this, I feel that many of us who watch the show will be rooting for the Jackal.
And I know that I’m not the only one like that
He is everything she is not, even though he is a murderer. I don’t want her to succeed in her mission, and I don’t want the Jackal to be caught. I don’t think it should be like that, but that’s how I feel.
Apparently, she is really getting close to him
Unfortunately, if she succeeds, I will want to stop watching this show. And this is a shame, because he is amazing in this!
